In collaboration with the Enmedio on thursdays [1], Planeta Eclectica presents a series of teoretical seminars about web 2.0. In this second seminar we study some economic models behind web 2.0.
The aim of this seminar is to analyse the economic structure that lays behind web 2.0. If the majority of services and applications are for free, how do web 2.0 companies make money?
The answer lays in a combination of several business models, which we will analyse according to some of the most popular services of today: youtube, flickr, etc.
[1] A project from the non-profit organization Enmedio, a space that responds to the new resources and possibilities that digital technology offers at the time of Web 2.0 or the Social Internet, where next to users, we all became also producers and distributors of digital content.
